Commit1b79c52844("PCI: cadence: Add host driver for Cadence PCIe controller") in order to update Vendor ID, directly wrote to PCI_VENDOR_ID register. However PCI_VENDOR_ID in root port configuration space is read-only register and writing to it will have no effect. Use local management register to configure Vendor ID and Subsystem Vendor ID. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
