This reverts commit5e2cf333b7. That commit introduced the following race and can cause system hung. md_write_start: raid5d: // mddev->in_sync == 1 set "MD_SB_CHANGE_PENDING" // running before md_write_start wakeup it waiting "MD_SB_CHANGE_PENDING" cleared >>>>>>>>> hung wakeup mddev->thread ... waiting "MD_SB_CHANGE_PENDING" cleared >>>> hung, raid5d should clear this flag but get hung by same flag. The issue reverted commit fixing is fixed by last patch in a new way. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
