Add core facilities for defining unit tests; this provides a common way to define test cases, functions that execute code which is under test and determine whether the code under test behaves as expected; this also provides a way to group together related test cases in test suites (here we call them test_modules). Just define test cases and how to execute them for now; setting expectations on code will be defined later. There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
